Accommodation & Food
Santainaii is a place in the country that is found to be deeply healing and relaxing. This is a residential retreat, having the chance to live and sleep away from home, in order to fully detach from regular daily life and immerse yourself into the benefits of the retreat.

You are encouraged to bring a tent or trailer to set up on the grounds of the property for private sleeping. A rustic shared dormitory accommodation is also included, it is first come first served. Our accommodations are by tent, included in the price as is the dormitory.  The Red Tent Chalet is available also, sleeps 6-7 – additional fee applies. Reserve your spot or your group in the Red Tent Chalet by connecting with us directly.

It is best to stay on site at all times during the retreat, as the inner work is best supported by that, however, if there are medical or physical limitations that require you to sleep at your home if you live locally, that is possible – the rate of retreat does not change for you. There are outside showers and composting toilets available, as well as regular flush toilet.

Bedding and pillows are not provided – do bring your own sleeping bag/blankets, pillows and anything else you might need for sleeping. If you snore, please indicate this if sharing the Red Tent Chalet.

All meals are included.  We have gourmet healing foods at this retreat, provided by our personal cook. She will be onsite preparing our fresh vegetarian/vegan foods over the weekend. Our diet is a particular focus on this retreat and we will experience an Ayurvedic anti-inflammatory diet that supports detox of the organs, cleansing, pain reduction and digestion. Diet will be gluten and dairy free, so if you have any specific dietary needs, be sure to note this on your registration form. All food is being taken care of so no need to take snacks along. If you must eat between meals, we will have fruit on site, however we will try and avoid snacking, sticking with the principles of Ayurveda. Upon arrival there will be a sign up sheet for Sevadar tasks (karma yoga). Everyone will be requested to help out (selfless service) in some way over the weekend, in the kitchen, gardens, etc.

Program & Guest Speakers
Each day of the retreat will prepare attendees for the next days’ program.  The sacred divine feminine aspects will be explored through all the senses, elements and states of mind.  Each day is supported by enriching food and beverages to help open perception and facilitate real learning.  Bermalva will host most sessions, including yoga, meditation, chanting and ceremonies, while special guest speakers will join for enriching satsang (spiritual community gathering).  Our special guests this year include; Berdhanya Swami Tierra (spiritual teacher), Satkiana Shaw (Women’s Ayurveda), and Briya Freeman (yoga and Ayurveda).

Saturday

Morning

Workshop  with Satkiana Shaw “Using the Wisdom of Ayurveda to Customize Your Moon-Time Self-Care”.  Each woman has a unique moon-cycle experience, with her own list of physical symptoms, moods, food cravings and self-care requirements. The way we feel during our moon cycles and the way we choose to care for ourselves is determined by the inter-play of the elements that are animated within us. These elements are always fluctuating and no two moon-cycles are exactly alike. We do tend to have some similar characteristics from month to month. who had been living a life full with the blessings of Ayurveda for many, many years.

Afternoon

Satsung with spiritual elder and teacher Berdhanya Swami Tierra on “Refreshing the Feminine on Earth – the dignity of  life”.  In this passage of the retreat we contemplate on the words of a crone and spiritual teacher about the true dignity of life deposited in the very core of the psyche of the feminine. The experience is based on her latest book: Imagination.  This is worth a moment to sit and open to the mystic secrets of the inner life.

Evening

Sacred Sexuality Circle & Shamanic Healing Circle with shamanic Priestess Bermalva Porter – a circle gathering with meditation, music and shamanic ceremony – will be outside at a fire if weather permitting

Sunday

Morning
